Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Salary: £23,656 – 24,404 fte (actual salary £14,816 - £15,296)
Full time: 38 Weeks 27.50 hours/week
Job type: Permanent
We are looking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and popular school. We would welcome candidates who are passionate about supporting all children within an inclusive classroom environment to join our team. You will be committed to inclusion and will be ambitious and open minded about potential for achievements and progress. You will need to be able to form a positive and consistent relationship with pupils, focussing on creating a calm, secure and consistent working environment around them. This post will initially involve supporting individual children, some with Special Educational Needs in the Early Years and Key Stage 1.
The successful candidates will:
- Be caring and committed to putting the child first
- Support children with SEND - either as 1:2:1 or small group
- Be able to model excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a good understanding of how children learn
- Be flexible and able to adapt learning activities and resources to suit pupils when necessary, making them as accessible as possible
- Lead interventions for small groups of children in phonics, reading, literacy and numeracy
- Be committed to raising standards
- Be able to liaise closely with teachers
- Have experience of working with children of primary school age

MIDDAY Supervisors
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible people to become members of our supportive team of staff who supervise children at meal time and lunch time play.
Monday to Friday, term time only. Applicants can apply for as little as one day or up to 5 days per week. Hours are midday to 1.15pm.
