Special Educational Needs

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

At Broke Hall School there is an expectation that all students, regardless of their specific needs, will be offered inclusive teaching which will enable them to make the best possible progress in school and feel that they are a valued member of the wider school community.

Broke Hall is an inclusive school and offers a range of provision to support children with communication and interaction, cognition and learning difficulties, social, mental and emotional health problems or sensory or physical needs. This is outlined in our SEN Report.

The range of support deployed will be tailored to individual need following thorough assessment by internal or external agencies. It is designed to promote students working towards becoming independent and resilient learners and should not be seen in isolation.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) is Mrs. Debbie Stanford.

Mrs. Stanford is always happy to meet with parents to discuss programmes of support and to answer any queries. She can be contacted via email dstanford@brokehall.suffolk.sch.uk
