Father Christmas visits school

We had a visit from Father Christmas and the HSA who have helped Father Christmas in providing each class with a Christmas present. The children were all very keen to open these gifts of toys and games for use in wet playtime, ranging from marble runs to top trumps to table football and craft supplies.

Choir Perform at Salvation Army

The choir is always busy in December, and they have been out and about bringing festive cheer at the Salvation Army. They gave up part of their Sunday to perform and we thank Mrs Johnson, our music lead, for taking them.

Anti Bullying Week

This week was National Anti-Bullying week – something we are committed to all year round. Wearing our odd socks on Monday demonstrated our belief in the value of inclusion. No one should feel excluded, isolated, discriminated against or uncomfortable because of differences; that our uniqueness is to be celebrated loudly and proudly.

Visit from MP

Members of the School Council and Eco-Council met with Dr Dan Poulter. They had a chance to find out about his role as an MP and to ask him questions about some of the decisions that he has to make in this role.

We made the most of the sunshine as we took part in Outdoor Classroom Day. This was promoted by the children from our school Eco-council. Lots of learning took place outside the classroom across the school.
