Autumn Learning

This is an overview of our learning for the Autumn Term.

Science

This half term, the children have been learning about Forces, and have enjoyed thinking scientifically, conducting a range of experiments. We have investigated the impact of friction, made paper helicopters to explore air resistance and considered how the shape of an object affects the amount of water resistance acting upon it.

Geography

In geography, the children produced some fantastic posters showing the course of a river. Having spent some time learning about key features, they then combined their geographical understanding with some super art work.

Music

Mrs Waldock has been working very hard with Year 5 this term, introducing them to the violin, and teaching some of the foundation skills. All 3 classes have begun playing the instrument, and are very much looking forward to an opportunity later in the year to share their successes with you.
