School visits are highly encouraged as they provide excellent opportunities for children to extend their learning outside the classroom. At Broke Hall visits include
- to our local area (walking)
- further away from school (involving transportation)
- Residential visits (overnight stays)*
- and, visitors to school
When organising school visits to enrich the curriculum and the educational experience of the children, the school invites parents to contribute to the cost. Contributions are voluntary (Except *). However, if we do not receive sufficient voluntary contributions, we may cancel a trip. Every attempt is made to keep the costs down by using the most competitive transport options. If a trip goes ahead, it may include children whose parents have not paid any contribution and we do not treat these children differently from any others.
* Residential visits are chargeable to all. However, we do not wish any child to miss out and will look to support families financially with the costs of a Residential Visit. In the first instance please get in touch with either the Class Teacher, Trip Organiser or School Business Manager. All communication is confidential.
